Gomez favored in new Breeders' Cup Jockey Bet

Wagering Opens Thursday

ARCADIA, Calif. - Garrett Gomez has been made the 3-1 morning line favorite for the Breeders' Cup Jockey Bet, a new wager at this year's Breeders' Cup World Championships at Santa Anita Park, where fans can bet on which jockey will win the most Breeders' Cup races.

The Breeders' Cup Jockey Bet is a win only wager, and is based solely on the on the 14 Breeders' Cup World Championships races on Nov. 6-7. All bets must be placed prior to the first Breeders' Cup race on Friday, the $500,000 Breeders' Cup Marathon, which is the third race on the program. The other key elements of the wager are:

- If an entrant picks up additional mounts, any wins will count toward their final total.

- If two or more entrants finish with the same number of wins, the results will be considered a Dead Heat with multiple winners paid accordingly.

- Once the first leg of the wager has been completed, all bets are final and there are no refunds.

- There will be betting numbers assigned to 13 individual jockeys and one Field All-Others entry.
